AG Hotels Group currently owns and operates 21 hotels in the UK, delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. We are currently seeking an experienced Duty Manager for hotel based in Castleford - Ibis Wakefield East – Castleford Hotel, preferably with prior Accor experience, to ensure smooth daily operations and deliver an outstanding guest experience in line with Accor brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the face of the hotel, creating a warm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
* Lead, coach, and motivate the reception and front-of-house team to consistently deliver outstanding service aligned with Accor brand values and standards.
* Oversee and participate in reception duties, including efficient and accurate handling of check-ins, check-outs, and guest enquiries, stepping in to support reception shifts as required by business needs.
* Proactively resolve guest concerns and complaints with tact and professionalism, ensuring prompt resolution and high guest satisfaction.
* Monitor daily hotel operations to maintain workflow efficiency, address operational challenges, and escalate issues as appropriate.
* Maintain high standards of service quality, cleanliness, safety, and security throughout the property.
* Support other hotel departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance) as needed to ensure seamless operation.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and Accor brand standards at all times.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Prior experience in a Duty Manager or Senior Reception role, ideally within an Accor hotel property.
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
* Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Good knowledge of hotel property management systems (Opera, Rezlynx, or similar).
* High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
* Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, as per business requirements.
Preferred:
* Previous experience working within the Accor Group or familiarity with Accor brand standards.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.85 per hour
