This is a great opportunity to join our therapy team as a Therapy Assistant.
About the Role
As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) interventions within our specialist SEN school. Working closely with our Therapy Team, you'll help students develop independence, regulate sensory and emotional needs, and access the world around them with confidence.
You'll support therapeutic activities including sensory integration, creative arts, and classroom-based strategies, ensuring every student has the tools they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and review therapy interventions as advised by the Therapy Team and outlined in EHCPs.
Support students in developing independence and emotional regulation strategies.
Collaborate with teaching staff to embed therapeutic approaches across the curriculum.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports for Annual Reviews and termly updates.
Manage therapy resources and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings.
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with young people with sensory and physical health needs in an educational setting.
* Ideally experience with running interventions, with measurable impact
* Strong communication skills and a creative, adaptable approach.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals.
* Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development in therapy and psychological approaches.
