The prospective post holder must be:
* Current student at the University of Edinburgh; and residing in the UK.
* Must be a UoE student for the duration of the post and eligible to work [15hrs] p/w alongside studies.

The Opportunity:
Join the Open Research Team, a dedicated unit within the library tasked with advancing the University's Open Research ambitions and monitoring the uptake of Open Research (OR) practices. This post will focus on the development of Open Research awareness raising, outreach, and training materials which can be rolled out across the university.
You will:
* identify existing materials, internally and externally, that can be adapted
* to meet the needs of research staff and students of any/all
* disciplines.
* provide support for Out with and other outreach events, including the annual Out Reach conference
* help with communications such as social media, newsletters, and blog posts.
Your skills and attributes for success:
* A student from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK, able to work collaboratively and independently.
* Ability to identify and adapt existing research materials for diverse academic disciplines, coupled with skills in developing engaging and educational content tailored for both research staff and students.
* Experience in organizing and supporting academic events, such as conferences and workshops, including logistical planning and execution, as well as providing ancillary support during events
* Strong communication skills across multiple platforms including social media, newsletters, and blogs to effectively promote Open Research initiatives and increase engagement within the university community.
* Interest and/or experience in Open Research and its implications for academia.
