DescriptionSupporting documentsEmployerLocation

Are you an ambitious school leader ready to embrace your next challenge? Do you possess the drive, vision, and expertise to take our school to excellence? The Three Trees Academies is looking for it’s next headteacher to build on the strong foundations already in place. Are you ready to lead us in the next stage of our journey?

The Three Trees

The Three Trees is a truly unique place. Based in Woodville and consisting of an infant community school and a Church of England junior school with a combined PAN of 630, the academies operate as one entity - sharing a building, staff, and educational approach – while having two URNs.

It’s no secret that the school has been on a journey since transforming from the Woodville Federation to The Three Trees Academies after joining Rise Multi-Academy Trust in September 2023. We are proud of the strong work put into place by our team and are looking for our next headteacher to continue making improvements and help our pupils to flourish and succeed.

With an above average proportion of pupils with SEND and in receipt of pupil premium funding, giving the best possible education to our pupils is essential, both in their academic outcomes, and their personal development. A strong background in implementing effective school improvement strategies and a secure knowledge of evidence-led teaching and learning approaches that raise outcomes is essential.

We truly believe that our pupils can achieve anything, and we are committed to finding a leader who can deliver for our pupils, staff, and community. If you believe that might be you get in touch. What do you have to lose?

Your Purpose and Impact

· Lead a School to Excellence: Take the helm as Headteacher, setting high standards and fostering a culture where every pupil flourishes.

· Drive School Improvement: Collaborate with other Headteachers and the trust education team to raise pupil outcomes, accelerate school effectiveness, and deliver the very best educational experience.

· Ensure The Vision Lives: “For the tree is known by its fruit” are not just words to us, they are our guiding vision underpinned by our values of ‘Aspire. Belong. Achieve.’

· Quality Assurance: Ensure robust systems are in place to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the school.

· Lead with Innovation and Research: Further embed evidence-based practice in every aspect of school improvement, ensuring strategies are rooted in valid and reliable research.

Your Skills & Experience

You are:

· An excellent school leader with a proven track record of sustained improvement.

· Experienced in leading teams of diverse individuals, ensuring all feel they belong and are valued.

· Knowledgeable about the latest educational research and effective classroom practice.

· Committed to safeguarding, diversity & inclusion, and the nurturing of talent.

· Resilient, self-aware, optimistic — and ready to lead through challenge and change.

· Skilled in developing and delivering sustainable improvement strategies alongside supportive materials to ensure they are successful.

Rise MAT

Our vision at Rise is simple. We want to enable all pupils, staff and communities to flourish and succeed. As a MAT with both CofE and community schools this, alongside the CofE’s ‘for the common good of the whole community’ vision, drives our work, regardless of any school’s religious characteristic.

We are a trust committed to getting the best academic outcomes for pupils, while also ensuring they are ready for the world they step into each and every day through our successful approaches to personal development.

Alignment is important to us, and we don’t shy away from that. Teach Like A Champion, Tom Bennett, explicit instruction, rigour, well-structured predictable lessons, a common curriculum – these all form part of our trust DNA and are expected within our schools. We appreciate it is not for everyone, however it is who we are, and we are unapologetic about it!

We are hugely excited for this appointment, and know the postholder has the ability to make a real difference to our pupils and families. In return we offer:

· Collaborative Culture: Join a team passionate about making a difference and helping every child to succeed.

· Professional Development: Access to high-quality CPD, mentoring, networks, and the chance to lead system-wide initiatives.

· Supportive Environment: We have all been successful school leaders, improving schools in crisis and beyond. We know what it is like and how to support you, both professionally and personally.

· An Optimistic Organisation: We know things can be hard, but we choose to spend our time looking for solutions ourselves instead of waiting to be told.

The change begins with you, and every child’s success is our shared achievement.

Interviews will take place on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th March.

Safeguarding Statement

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of the Trust’s shortlisting process, all shortlisted candidates will be subject to an online search as part of our due diligence. Appointment to this post will also be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
