Salary: £12.30 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm + every other weekend

The Role
We are looking for caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Community Support Workers to join our friendly, well‑established team in the Mendip Community.
You will provide practical day‑to‑day support in the community, helping individuals live independently, access local services, and enjoy hobbies and social activities.
Please note: Personal care is very limited (e.g., assisting with putting on socks or trousers) and does not involve intimate care.
Key Responsibilities
* Support individuals with daily living tasks: shopping, cooking, finances, appointments, and household duties
* Assist with prescribed medication
* Encourage and support hobbies, social activities, and community participation
* Follow individual support plans and work closely with families and other professionals
* Drive clients safely in the community (full UK licence and business insurance required)
* Complete mandatory training and shadow shifts, including First Aid, Manual Handling, and the Care Certificate
Who We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting people with mental health needs, learning disabilities or autism.
* Ability to work independently while following support plans.
* Flexible with travel across the Mendip area.
* Knowledge of basic first aid and ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
* Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults.
* Recovery‑ and enabling‑focused approach in line with company values.
* Caring, empathic, and person‑centred approach.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Honesty, with high levels of integrity.
* Availability to work across ESS hours, including alternating weekends.
* Access to a car with clean driving licence and business insurance.
* Enhanced DBS clearance.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Minimum of 1 year’s social care experience, ideally supporting people with mental health needs or learning disabilities.
* Accredited Mental Health / Learning Disability training.
* Wide life experience to support a positive, enabling approach to client needs.
* Fully funded enhanced DBS.
* Full induction and training provided.
