Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the NHS Forth Valley Finance team as a Management Accountant. As part of the team supporting the Acute and Women & Children Directorates, you will provide an efficient, accurate and timely financial management reporting service.
This will involve the production of management information and reports for the two directorates and the provision of support and financial advice to budget managers.
You will be educated to at least CCAB or CIMA diploma level and be actively studying towards the completion of a professional accounting qualification. Experience gained within an NHS Finance environment with particular focus on management accounting and budgeting/forecasting is preferable.
Excellent communication skills are important in this role, particularly when delivering complex financial information to operational managers with a non-financial background. You will have very good IT skills, work effectively as part of a team and be able to produce high quality work to strict deadlines.
Our team of 8 is part of a larger Finance community of 45, offering excellent career development opportunities. The post will be based in Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert, but you may have to work from our Falkirk or Stirling offices at times.
The team operates hybrid working.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.
Candidates should provide original and authentic responses to all questions within the application form. The use of artificial intelligence (AI), automated tools, or other third-party assistance to generate, draft, or significantly modify responses is strongly discouraged. By submitting your application, you confirm that all answers are your own work, reflect your personal knowledge, skills and experience, and have not been solely produced or altered by AI or similar technologies. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in your application being withdrawn from the application process.
Please note that the majority of correspondence is sent by e-mail, therefore please check your e-mail regularly (including junk folders) and your Jobtrain account for updates.
NHS Forth Valley is positive about disabled people and is committed to offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job.
