MWH have now been awarded Projects at Dukinfield, Aston-Under-Lyne, Arnfield, Godley, Hyde and Wigan and Skelmersdale across the AMP8 Framework Agreement with United Utilities. We are looking to strengthen our Construction and Project delivery teams with Project Managers assigned to a project or section within our programme of work.
Reporting to the Head of Construction or Operations Manager, you will lead the design, construction, commissioning, and execution of the project delivery strategy. Ensure the project is completed safely, on programme, within budget and meets all the contract specifications. Manage the client, customer, and all stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Promote exceptional SHEQ standards to direct and subcontracted work force.
2. Being aware of the need to satisfy customer requirements with the aim of enhancing the customers’ perception and satisfaction.
3. Maintain an appropriate practical knowledge and appreciation of all technical disciplines associated with delivering water and wastewater design and build projects.
4. Maintain good client relationships at all levels.
5. Maintain the company’s reputation on a project by ensuring good relationships are maintained with joint venture partners (if applicable) and suppliers.
6. Ensuring that sufficient trained personnel are available for the project and that they are aware of their individual responsibilities.
7. Ensuring that appropriately detailed construction plans and method statements are prepared, in place and approved prior to commencement of activities.
8. Ensuring at contract completion that all records complete and available.
9. Ensuring that all site non-conformities are reported and approximate costs identified.
10. Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/ associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes and innovations.
11. Accountable for all commercial aspects of the project are ensure it is managed in a timely and proactive way giving accurate forecast and estimates.
12. Accountable for Planning projects, including reviewing, and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP), and then monitoring and controlling the delivery of projects.
