We are working closely with a respected secondary school in Rickmansworth that is known for its inclusive values, strong academic outcomes, and supportive staff culture. Due to continued demand within the department and forward planning for the new academic year, the school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026. The role involves teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 for candidates with the appropriate experience.

The Role
You will deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons that inspire students to explore both physical and human geography while developing key analytical and evaluative skills. The successful candidate will play an active role in shaping the department and enriching the wider curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
* Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 opportunities available)
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to support a range of abilities
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing clear and targeted feedback
* Prepare students for GCSE examinations through effective teaching strategies
* Contribute to curriculum development and shared departmental resources
* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment with high expectations
* Maintain strong behaviour management in line with school policies
* Support enrichment opportunities such as fieldwork and departmental activities
* Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and students

The Ideal Candidate
* Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Has a degree in Geography or a related subject
* Has experience teaching Geography at secondary school level
* Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
* Uses adaptable teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
* Shows a clear commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
* Holds an enhanced DBS or is willing to apply
