The Building Surveyor's Role
Due to a growing workload, they're seeking a Building Surveyor to support the established team across a range of sectors. The role will involve a healthy mix of professional and project work and will see you carrying out:
* Measured surveys: preparing floor plans, elevations, and details using AutoCAD
* Building surveys: including condition surveys, schedules of condition, and defects diagnosis
* Project surveying: preparing statutory consent applications, tender documentation, and carrying out contract administration
* Building pathology: investigating defects and proposing remedial solutions with associated costs and programming
* Planned preventative maintenance programmes
* CDM services (desirable): producing pre-construction information and health and safety files
You'll be joining a team that offers genuine progression opportunities, APC support, and a pathway towards chartership for those not yet qualified.
The Successful Building Surveyor Will Have
Qualifications: BSc or BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying (RICS accredited) or working towards chartership
Knowledge and Attributes: Strong AutoCAD proficiency and experience with measured surveys (essential); Previous experience in the refurbishment or alteration of existing buildings (essential); Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle; A keen interest in progressing your career within a collaborative and reputable consultancy
