Academics is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supply team, supporting a range of Primary schools. This flexible position is perfect for candidates who enjoy working in different environments, building experience, and helping pupils reach their full potential.
The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant working through Academics, you will:
Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language difficulties, and learning delays
Work 1:1 or with small groups to help deliver tailored learning activities
Assist the class teacher in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
Adapt to different school settings and approaches, providing consistency and support
Promote independence, patience, and confidence in the children you work withWhat we're looking for
Experience working with children with SEN (school-based or otherwise)
A calm, adaptable, and patient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing
The flexibility to work across multiple Primary schools
