In this position you will serve as a partner to the business by providing HR guidance, support and expertise to managers and employees. The HR Business Partner will be responsible for executing the HR strategies that support the DFS goals and enhancing HR operations by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and HR policies, programs, and practices. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of HR practices and labour laws in Dundee/United Kingdom.
This position will be located at our Dundee site.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Provide leadership to drive the delivery of the business HR plans aligned to business needs and overall strategy.
2. Coaching and mentoring team members.
3. Supporting and guiding line managers across the business on all HR related matters.
4. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
5. Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
6. Managing the business workforce planning and executing on hiring and onboarding processes.
7. Manage talent and succession planning and conduct exit interviews.
8. Handling employment relations issues such as grievances and employee welfare.
9. Collaborating with other managers in the business, sometimes internationally, to ensure the smooth running of the company from a people perspective.
10. Partnering with the leaders, to establish and roll-out people-related strategy.
11. Providing detailed HR reports to senior management teams.
12. Support Global HR team on global HR projects; Global Career Architecture, Change management, DFS culture, Career development, Engagement etc.
13. Support the recruitment and selection process, including identifying talent needs, sourcing and screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
14. Develop and deliver training programs that support employee development and organizational goals
15. Oversee and collaborate with HR assistant to update and maintain employee data within all HR systems, ensuring information is accurate and relevant in accordance with GDPR.
16. Oversee the payroll and collaborate with HR assistant and the external payroll to guarantee a timely and correct salary administration.
17. Proactively lead the Absence Management process
18. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have strong HR generalist background with experience in fast-paced, evolving business environment.
19. Knowledge of up-to-date HR best practice related employee relations, payroll and labor law in Scotland
20. Bachelors degree in Business, HR, or related field
21. Minimum 5 years of work experience in an HR generalist role and has a strong understanding of HR functions
22. Understanding the overall operative HR processes and procedures
23. Demonstrates the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity and builds strong and trusting sustainable relationships
24. Be comfortable working in a complex, matrix, international environment
25. Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs and HR software programs (SAP SuccessFactors)
26. Motivates and Inspires: creates a positive working environment that motives others; communicates adeptly verbally and in writing; follows through on commitment; clarifies what people need to do
27. Strong Business Acumen and Sound Judgement: uses knowledge and experience to solve problems; collects data to help drive decision making
28. Change Leadership: Working understanding of and experience with change management initiatives; is personally a champion of change and introduces and manages changes given to them
