Overview
Job Purpose: To provide comprehensive, effective and efficient reception, administrative and customer service support to the Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) patients, colleagues, partners and visitors.
Responsibilities
* Welcome patients and visitors to the service in a friendly and professional manner, communicating sensitively with patients who have severe and profound hearing loss.
* Follow correct procedures and apply a good working knowledge of complex administrative systems.
* Maintain accurate and timely records, paying excellent attention to detail to ensure sensitive patient data is managed appropriately.
* Act as gatekeeper for internal and external queries, resolving problems when required or forwarding appropriately to the relevant staff group.
* Support with the administration of multiple patient clinics each day, checking patients into their appointments and supporting clinical staff with a variety of administrative tasks.

Special Requirements
* Understanding of the need for Data Protection and Information Governance Policies and Procedures.
* Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance will be required.
