Social Worker – Fostering – Kinship Assessment Team – Preston – Full Time
This is a permanent full‑time position (37 hours/week, pro rata) that pays £36,363–£40,777 per annum. The role is based in County Hall, Preston and will require travel – a valid driving licence and access to a car are essential.
Responsibilities
* Undertake viability assessments of proposed Kinship foster carers and Special Guardians.
* Prepare and assess prospective Kinship foster carers and Special Guardians, compiling assessment reports for the fostering panel and the court.
* Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders – children, care givers, professionals – using appropriate language and reflective practice.
* Work collaboratively with the team to support vulnerable children within the community and improve outcomes for children and families.
