We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Specialist Eating Disorders Unit (SEDU) at Kimmeridge Court, Poole, Dorset. This full‑time post offers flexible part‑time options and is based in a specialist inpatient care setting for adults with eating disorders.
Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete occupation‑focused assessments and plan individual and group interventions.
* Deliver evidence‑based occupational therapy to promote self‑care, daily living, productivity and meaningful activity.
* Integrate with a multidisciplinary team (nursing, medical, psychology and dietetic) to support admissions, therapeutic activity and discharge planning.
* Contribute to structured occupational therapy programmes on the ward and, where appropriate, develop specialist programmes for other professionals.
* Assess and respond to clinical and environmental risk to ensure patient safety and compliance with legal, professional and organisational requirements.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with Trust and professional standards, and engage in clinical supervision, CPD, audit or research activity to demonstrate clinical effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should be a qualified Occupational Therapist at Band 6 level with experience in specialist inpatient care for eating disorders. Knowledge of evidence‑based therapeutic approaches and a commitment to ongoing professional development are essential.
