This role is hybrid working and paying between £26,000 - £28,000 depending on experience.
Finance Assistant - Overview
A great opportunity for someone looking to build their finance career within a busy, hands‑on environment. This role provides core finance administration support with the chance to gain broader experience across management reporting, analysis, and commercial finance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring correct coding and authorisation.
2. Work with Accounts Payable to process supplier invoices accurately.
3. Investigate and resolve invoice queries with operational teams.
4. Follow up outstanding AP issues to ensure timely resolution.
5. Support month‑end tasks, including accruals and prepayments.
6. Prepare customer invoice information for Accounts Receivable.
7. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
8. Provide administrative support to the finance leadership team.
9. Assist with ad‑hoc finance duties as needed.
Skills & Experience
10. GCSEs/A Levels or equivalent; AAT qualified or studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
11. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
12. Good communication skills (written and verbal).
13. Confident using Excel and Microsoft Office.
