The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Renewables Engineer to join our Civil Delivery team supporting hydro operations across Argyll. You’ll work on a wide variety of meaningful engineering projects that help maintain and improve our hydro infrastructure—supporting renewable generation that powers communities across Scotland.

You will

* Work with experienced engineers and technicians to ensure our hydro assets are safely and efficiently operated, maintained and refurbished.
* Support the development and delivery of engineering projects across civil and mechanical disciplines, including overhauls, repairs and refurbishments.
* Take ownership of projects of varying complexity, contributing to planning, site supervision, construction oversight and commissioning activities.
* Gain hands-on experience working with major hydro infrastructure such as hydraulic gates, valves, tunnels, pipelines, buildings and dams.
* Develop your engineering and project management skills, working towards higher levels of responsibility after training.

You have

* Experience in construction or project management, plus relevant experience in civil or mechanical engineering (degree or similar qualification preferred).
* A motivated, enthusiastic approach with the ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-moving operational environment.
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with colleagues across different disciplines and locations.
* Willingness and ability to work in varied environments—including at height and in confined spaces—alongside knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
