There is an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join a well-established regional housebuilder in Lancashire to work within a dynamic procurement department. You will be responsible for the following duties:
Procurement of materials & plant for new build housing developments
Placement and control of orders, ensuring commercial awareness
Liaising with supply chain regarding product availability, cost control, invoices queries
To prepare material schedules from contract drawings as required
Management of 3-4 live developments along with procuring 1-2 site commencement
Commercial administration

Experience / Qualifications Required:
Experience of working as an Assistant Buyer within the housebuilding sector
Good IT skills and use of Excel & other procurement software
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and liaise with peers, supply chain and other departments within the business
Academically qualified in a relevant domain, procurement, business administration etc.
Organised and methodical
Salary & Package on offer:
Salary £30,000 - £35,000
