Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Program Manager to lead our infrastructure portfolio. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing critical projects, managing dispersed teams, and driving strategic initiatives. Your expertise in infrastructure management, coupled with your ability to create insightful dashboards, will be essential in ensuring the success of our technology initiatives.
This position requires strong organization skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a distributed, multicultural environment. The Program Delivery Manager reports to the VP, Digital Workplace Services and works collaboratively with Regional IT Directors and associates across the organization.
The person in this position will develop and manage existing project documentation, including project schedules, weekly and monthly status reports, presentations, risk logs, action logs, issue logs, etc. The Program Manager works proactively to gather information required for analysis of project cost, resources, time and other project supporting deliverables.
Major Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Portfolio Management:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for our infrastructure projects.
* Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure systems, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals.
Quality & Governance
* Understand the organizational Governance Framework and Quality Requirements
* Ensure the team is compliant to the Governance Framework
Team Leadership:
* Manage dispersed teams across different locations and time zones.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture within the IT department.
* Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Dashboard Creation and Reporting:
* Design and implement dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to infrastructure projects.
* Analyze data trends, identify areas for improvement, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
Risk Management:
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with infrastructure projects.
* Ensure compliance with security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and industry best practices.
Vendor Management:
* Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to optimize infrastructure solutions.
* Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and evaluate vendor performance.
Stakeholder Communication:
* Communicate project status, risks, and achievements to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.
* Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to ensure alignment and transparency.
Required Skills:
* Can estimate the project’s effort from functional/technical requirements to the necessary level for planning and scheduling purposes
* Can produce project estimates, track the actuals and manage/report the variances effectively
* Strong technical vocabulary for communicating with engineers and translating for business users.
* Working familiarity with leading IT industry hardware/software providers.
* Skilled at project scheduling, including via automated tools, and can analyze progress and trade-offs
* Can implement project change process, as appropriate for scope control and change processes
* Can debate effectively for or against project changes, as appropriate
* Sufficient communication and organization skills to implement a formal communications plan
* Client-focused and an exceptional customer service mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
* Good communication and negotiation skills.
* Strong English language skills. Good verbal and written English communication skills.
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Required Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT program management, with a focus on infrastructure.
* Proven track record of successfully managing dispersed teams and complex infrastructure projects.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in creating data-driven dashboards.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or CISSP are highly desirable.
* Experience working with Power BI (reporting)
* Experience work with ServiceNow (Project Module)
* Experience in working within a Project Management Office, or equivalent structure
* Experience working with telecom vendors for circuit provisioning and Move/Add/Change orders.
* Experience with IT security and compliance considerations such as would be gained in a validated environment.
* Working knowledge of ITIL
