What does a "day in the life" of my new team look like?
Financial & Operational Excellence
* Managing the closure of month end for the parts of the business you support in line with company deadlines.
* Preparing account Profit & Loss (P&L) and provide them to finance business partners and P&L owners.
* Owning associated balance sheet entries and reviews with finance business partners and the financial accounting team.
Budgeting & Forecasting
* Working with the finance business partner to develop the timeline, framework and templates for monthly forecasting and annual budgeting.
* Working with P&L owners to ensure forecast and budget are recorded accurately in AMS' finance systems.
Ad Hoc Analysis
You'll provide analysis and information to the finance business partners around areas such as:
* Cost analysis to support decisions around cost restructuring.
* Analysis to support central commercial team on new deals/extensions.
* Trend analysis and commentary when required to provide further insight to management information.
What do I need to succeed in this role?
Must Haves:
* Finance professional, ideally qualified from a member of a recognised accountancy body i.e. ACCA, ACA or CIMA (consideration possible for finalist if not fully qualified)
* Working experience in a management accounting environment
* Demonstrable examples of managing a good month end process, being able to say how you individually contributed to its success
* Ability to present financial numbers succinctly
Nice to Haves:
* Microsoft Dynamics (D365) and Cognos/TM1 analysis skills would be an advantage
* Prior industry experience working for a global organisation

Who will I be working with?
You'll partner with Senior Management Accountants, Finance Business Partners, AMS Performance Managers and Internal Stakeholders as part of this role.
