Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including the service users' own homes and assisted living facilities. This role involves supporting service users with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and promoting their independence. The Support Worker will also assist with medication administration and personal cares.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
* Administer medication as prescribed.
* Support clients with dementia care, employing behaviour management techniques as needed.
* Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
* Assist with moving and handling when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.
* Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in care is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
