Join Cambian as a Support Worker in Manchester

Cambian employees are friendly, supportive, and all focused on achieving the best outcomes for everyone involved with our service. We are looking for Team Leaders to be part of our services within the Manchester region. We strive to build a stable and welcoming environment where our young people are central to everything we do.

You will be a dedicated person who thrives on making a difference in the lives of others and wants to challenge yourself to develop your skills and knowledge in the children's home sector.

Do you have what it takes to encourage and help our children to live independently, guiding and teaching them with your own life experiences? To do this, we believe you will need empathy, compassion, resilience, and positive parenting skills.

The working day can be very unpredictable; you may spend the morning organizing activities and the afternoon providing 1:1 support.

We offer an extremely competitive package:

* Rate of Pay: £13.71-14.07 per hour, dependent on experience, with a £30.00 additional sleep-in rate
* Refer a Friend Scheme
* Training and Development Plans including NVQs and Career progression opportunities
* 28 Days Holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays, increasing with service
* Paid Sickness Leave
* Overtime, On-Call, Sleep-in, and Disturbance Rates
* Casual Dress Code
* Company Pension
* Simply Health (linked to service)
* Days out and activity days off-site
* Management Development Programme from Support Worker to Registered Manager and beyond

Requirements:

* Full UK driving licence
* Desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent in Children & Younger People's workforce
* 12 months experience in a Residential setting (highly desirable but we also encourage applications from those starting their journey)
* DBS and reference checks in line with government regulations and safer recruitment practices

Duties include:

* Delivering high-quality care for children
* Providing guidance, support, and structure
* Supporting access to education
* Promoting healthy lifestyles and positive living choices
* Accessing clinically led training to improve skills and practice
* Household duties
* Record keeping and report writing
* Organizing days out and social activities
* Attending contacts, visits, key work meetings, and therapy sessions
* Providing transport for activities and appointments

Cambian is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in our care. All applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide at least two references covering the past two years. Applicants must also provide employment history, including education details.
