Job Summary
The University Medical Group is a dynamic and high-quality practice caring for 32,000 patients. We are a single-site practice located close to the University campus with a diverse patient population of around 9,000 students. As a large primary care facility, we employ a multidisciplinary team that includes paramedics, pharmacists, physicians associate, nurses, a diabetes nurse specialist, nursing associates, health care assistants, and an administrative care coordinator. This is a full‑time role working extended hours until 20:00 each week.
Responsibilities
 * Wound care dressings including compression.
 * Removal of stitches.
 * Perform NHS health checks, weight monitoring, and long‑term condition monitoring including diabetic foot checks.
 * Provide lifestyle advice and make necessary referrals.
 * Perform ECGs.
 * Phlebotomy.
 * Administer B12 injections under PSDs signed by GPs.
 * Administer annual influenza vaccinations and pneumococcal vaccination under PSD.
 * BP monitoring.
 * Administer injections including B12, Zoladex, whooping cough, shingles under PSD.
 * Re‑stock all clinical areas and maintain cleanliness.
 * Order and maintain clinical supplies.
 * Use appropriate templates in EMIS/Ardens for all procedures (training will be provided).
 * Any other duties deemed appropriate.
Person Specification
 * Essential: Primary care experience required.
 * Desirable: Driving licence.
Qualifications
 * Phlebotomy certification.
 * Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) or working towards equivalent level.
 * Care certificate.
