Federation Operations Manager
Grade 11 (K) pt 39 pt 43 £48710 - £52805 pro rata
Permanent - Full time - Term Time plus 4 weeks
Required from 21st July 2025 or sooner if possible
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Federation as Operations Manager. The post holder will lead the Business, Finance and Admin structures of our 3 schools. This is a new role, reflecting our growth over the last few years. The Federation is a vibrant and inclusive place to work and is committed to high quality professional development for all staff.
The main priorities of the role are to:
Support the recently appointed Executive Head Teacher in the development of a first-class Federation of schools. Be part of the Federation Leadership Team.
Lead on Finance, HR and Strategic planning.
Manage and support the central team of Finance, HR and Admin staff. This will include doing aspects of these roles, eg writing spending plans.
Manage the catering staff.
Support the work of the Premises and Health and Safety Manager.
Support the Executive Head Teacher in reviewing and implementing all Business related policies and procedures within the Federation.
Lead on procurement, rollout and logistics of new initiatives and technologies
Education, knowledge, training and qualifications
Appropriate degree or Level 5 qualification linked to Business or Finance.
Experience working within Finance and HR.
Experience of managing a school or similar organisation.
At least 3 years senior leadership experience, including line managing staff.

Be reflective and committed to continuous improvement.
Ability to monitor the work of others and provide effective and credible feedback leading to improvement.

Demonstrate empathy, humility and genuine care about staff and children, taking time to support, guide and motivate them.
