Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Workshop Plant Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience working on a range of plant machinery and be well-versed in diesel engines and hydraulics. This role offers a competitive salary of up to GBP40,000 basic, plus bonus, phone, and 22 days holiday plus banks, with the potential to increase to 25 days. Working hours are 7:30am-5pm, with paid overtime options available at time and a half.
Responsibilities:
* Conducting maintenance and repairs on a variety of plant machinery
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues
* Carrying out scheduled servicing and inspections
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
* Providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and hydraulics
* Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeship
* Full UK driving license
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Day-to-day:As a Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintenance and repairs on a range of plant machinery. This will involve diagnosing issues, conducting servicing, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard. You will also be required to communicate effectively with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
