Food Technologist
As a Food Technologist on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract you will be responsible for developing and enhancing food products that align with market trends and consumer preferences. Your duties will include creating new recipes, refining existing ones, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and profitability, and working in our Culinary Centre in Trafford Park, Haydock and Media City offices, with occasional opportunities to work from home depending on the project. You may have the opportunity to work on cereal brands such as Crunchy Nut, Special K and Krave, and may be required to travel nationally and internationally.
Key responsibilities:
* Innovation – Develop new products and processes and modify existing ones in the kitchen and pilot plant.
* Testing – Run plant trials of new products and coordinate first production runs.
* Research – Research consumer markets and the latest technologies to create new product concepts.
* Procurement – Select raw materials and ingredients and prepare product costings to ensure profitability.
Qualifications and experience:
* Degree in Food Science or a related discipline with relevant experience.
* Passion for creative product development in the food sector.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
* High levels of proactivity and a results‑driven mindset, focusing on keeping the consumer at the centre of our efforts.
