Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team in a community run pub. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Your role will involve preparing and serving drinks, ensuring the bar area is clean and organised, and contributing to a positive guest experience. Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
* Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations when needed.
* Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, demonstrating basic maths skills.
* Assist in managing stock levels, including ordering supplies as necessary.
* Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations, promoting a safe environment for both staff and patrons.
* Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Requirements
* Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
* Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
* Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
* A willingness to help others and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
