The Team
The events team play a key role at the University, organising key internal events for the University such as our graduation ceremonies and the School of the Arts Festival, as well as a large variety of other large and small events. In addition, the team oversees a range of events involving key partners of the University, as well as offering University facilities to outside clients in order to raise commercial income.
The team is a friendly, multi functional team, which enjoys a good reputation both within and outside of York St John.
The Role
As a recognised expert in conference and events organisation, the role holder will provide a highly professional service to the University in planning and organising activities across the University's annual events programme, including the management of internal and external stakeholders The role holder will lead on event projects this includes managing relationships and taking decisions at an appropriate level to support and progress agreed projects. This role is fixed-term.
Required Skills and Experience
We are seeking an individual that has experience of working in wide range of events. The ideal candidate will have good organisational skills and attention to deal and also be an accomplished communicator. The candidate will be supported in key decisions, but will be expected to be able to work autonomously and be able to make day to day decisions on progressing their events projects.
