Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Revenues and Benefits Officer for a Local Authority Client in Middlesbrough. In this role you will manage Council Tax, Business Rates and Benefits accounts, ensuring customers are correctly billed and supported while resolving enquiries and progressing cases to completion. Duties: Maintain and update Council Tax, Business Rates and Benefits accounts, including discounts, exemptions and liability changes. Process Housing Benefit claims, overpayments, and recovery arrangements. Respond to customer enquiries and resolve account issues via phone, email and face-to-face. Progress cases to resolution and support service improvements and compliance activities. Qualifications and Experience: Experience working in Council Tax, Business Rates or Housing Benefit administration. Experience in a customer-facing or public service environment. Experience using revenues and benefits or similar case management systems. Experience handling enquiries, resolving issues and working to targets or deadlines.
