The Vacancy
RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Wigan, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.
RSK LDE Ltd was formed in 2003 after a number of specialist design engineers joined RSK in order to strengthen its existing in-house capabilities. It now has a highly experienced team made up of professional civil and structural engineering staff with many years experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver designs for infrastructure projects on time and to budget.
* Input into engineering strategies and ensure these are adhered to.
* Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278 etc.).
* Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
* Maintain effective communication with design team and other stakeholders.
* Ensure LDE's quality procedures are complied with.
* Understand fee preparation and project cost budgets.
* Assist in mentoring and managing junior staff.
* Assist with technical report production.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Working knowledge of: -
o Highway design and ground modelling.
o Drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems.
o Autocad,
o PDS/XP Site 3D (or similar),
o Microdrainage Windes/Flow (or similar),
o Microsoft packages.
* Ideally 5+ years experience in a similar sector within Consultancy.
* Educated to degree or HNC level.
