We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Principal Mechanical Engineer, to be involved in industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station.
The role is suited to a degree qualified Principal Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent) who will be responsible for the design and delivery of SMR Containment structural components.
You will work within a core team responsible for the delivery of critical path components with high levels of system and component interfaces. The role will involve developing and understanding technical and through-life requirements of systems, structures, and components (SSCs), performing optioneering studies to determine optimal design, manufacturing, and construction solutions in keeping with the SMR modular build philosophy. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to guide and mentor junior engineers to help them develop their full potential.

Pay And Benefits
We anticipate paying a salary of between £57,600 - £75,600 DOE plus:-
* Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
* Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
* Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
* Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
* Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care
* Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay
* £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
