Are you an experienced social care professional with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people? We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic CSW - Team Manager - to join our clients' Children and Young People’s Disability Service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled team of social workers and specialist support workers, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for children with disabilities. This is a contract role lasting 2 months with an attractive pay rate and excellent benefits.
About the Role: CSW - Team Manager -you will oversee a team responsible for working with children with disabilities, managing cases involving child in need, child protection, and children looked after. You will be instrumental in providing leadership, strategic planning, and ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies while promoting a positive working environment.
Candidate Responsibilities for the CSW - Team Manager
Lead and manage a team of social workers and specialist support workers within the Children and Young People’s Disability Service
Oversee case management, ensuring high-quality, timely support for children with disabilities
Promote best practice in safeguarding and child protection procedures
Develop team skills through supervision, appraisals, and ongoing training
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to coordinate effective support plans
Ensure all cases are accurately documented, and statutory requirements are met
Support vulnerable children and families through proactive intervention and adviceCandidate Requirements
Proven experience managing social work teams within children's or disability services
Strong knowledge of child protection, child in need, and looked-after children procedures
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Valid social work qualification and registration (e.g., HCPC, Social Work England)
Ability to handle complex cases with sensitivity and professionalism
Competitive pay rate 32.71ph PAYE exclusive of holiday pay or 45.20ph Inclusive of holiday pay
Contract length: 2 months, with the possibility of extension
