Finance Manager | Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 DOE

Noble Recruiting is working with a fast-growing transactional business in Chelmsford to recruit an experienced Finance Manager.
This is a hands‑on Finance Manager role, leading a small finance team of 2 and taking responsibility for financial reporting, management accounts, process improvement and day‑to‑day transactional finance. This role would suit a commercially minded Finance Manager or Senior Finance professional who enjoys being close to the detail, improving systems and supporting wider business performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce weekly and monthly profit and business reports
* Prepare management accounts including accruals, journals, prepayments and bank reconciliations
* Manage P&L reporting and support commercial decision making
* Oversee sales ledger and purchase ledger activity
* Manage credit control, customer credit accounts and new credit applications
* Liaise with the external payroll provider to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
* Identify and implement process improvements across finance and reporting
* Ensure all finance paperwork and records are correctly documented
* Support the business with ad hoc finance duties when required
About You
* Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Senior Finance professional
* Strong financial reporting and management accounts experience
* Confident managing transactional finance processes
* Commercially aware with a hands on approach
* Able to supervise and support a small team
* Sage 50 experience would be beneficial
