Pharmacist Account Manager (PAM)
Field Based – North West England & Northern Ireland
12 Months Fixed Term Contract
This is a territory role, meaning the successful candidate will be able to work remotely within the above territory but with some expectations of national travel and attendance to head office as required (e.g. for meetings/training). This role/territory is suitable only for candidates living in NW England, with some travel to Northern Ireland.
Pharmacist Account Manager (NW England & Northern Ireland)
As a Pharmacist Account Manager (PAM) your role is to effectively engage with a highly significant group of customers on a peer-to-peer level. You will be living in NW England and will work a defined Region across NW England & Northern Ireland, working with PCN/Cluster/Federation pharmacists, practice-based pharmacists, and other key customers in the NHS across primary care within the respiratory environment.
In this role you will:
* Identify and access Clinical Pharmacists, PCN pharmacists, Practice-based Pharmacists, Medicines Optimisation Pharmacists, Clinical Directors, and other key customers directly involved in COPD in primary care (and secondary care respiratory pharmacists where applicable)
* Motivate and support pharmacists in identifying, reviewing and optimising cohorts of COPD patients
* Demonstrate a high level of omni-channel selling skills to ensure medicines in the therapy area are prescribed in appropriate patients and promote GSK’s inhaled therapy medications for the treatment of COPD
* Work collaboratively with Regional colleagues and together be accountable for the achievement of sales growth and delivery of activity targets across a defined group of customers, implementing excellently versus Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Why you?
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
* Qualified Pharmacist
* Experience in primary care
* Proficient presentation skills – engage groups of clinicians through presentation of company produced promotional and scientific materials
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience in primary care working with respiratory patients
* Experience in primary care carrying out quality improvement projects
* Relationships with the key decision makers at a local level would be highly desirable, along with Key Opinion Leader networks
* Experience of networking proficiently with key decision makers involved in primary care networks and integrated care systems
* In-depth understanding of NHS including knowledge of the funding agreements and flow in the Region, navigating senior stakeholders, influencing long-term patient management strategy etc
