Responsibilities
The Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology is now recruiting a full‑time, permanent Teaching and Learning Coordinator who will support the smooth running of the undergraduate Teaching office. The post will co‑ordinate all key areas of undergraduate student administration, including course teaching on the Tripos, events, examinations, maintaining course‑related Moodle sites and dealing with general enquiries. A key duty will be to act as Secretary to a number of committees ensuring the interface between the Department and University committees and administrators. The post reports directly to the Department Administrator and works closely with the Head of Department and Deputy Head of Teaching. The role requires a team player, empathy when supporting student delivery, excellent communication, organisational and planning skills, a proactive and flexible approach to work. Experience of working within higher education in a related area or previous experience within the University of Cambridge would be an advantage.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent level of practical experience and be competent with standard software packages e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as with databases and online programmes. Experience within a university setting is an advantage.
