TeacherActive are currently recruiting for a SEMH LSA/Social Emotional Mental Health Learning Support Assistant to work on a long term basis at an SEMH/SEND schools in Nottinghamshire. As a SEMH LSA/Social Emotional Mental Health Learning Support Assistant, you will connect directly with the brilliant pupils we care for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education. Responsibilities
* Support pupils out of the classroom, with pastoral and personal development
* Manage behaviour of pupils sent out of class, freeing up other TAs Patrol school working with pupils not in class, for whatever reason
The ideal SEN TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant should have the following
* Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment
* A calm, patient and caring personal
* Good communication skills
* A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
* Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced Child and Adult DBS disclosure and provide at least 2 references.
