We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our client, based in Belfast as a full-time Project and Programme Manager. This is a long-term temporary opportunity.

Our client is Northern Ireland’s Leading Public Sector Employer.

Administrator Pay Rate: £19.52 per hour

Start Date: as soon as possible

Location: Belfast Stormont

Hours of Work:

6. 37 Hours per week
7. Monday to Friday

Job Duties:

The Project and Programme Manager will support the Deputy Principal (DP) in providing high-level operational support to the Head of the Civil Service (HOCS) in delivering the UK Honours system in NI.
The Project and Programme Manager will be responsible for Project Managing the Honour Process in Northern Ireland, The individual’s duties will broadly reflect the duties of a Staff Officer in the NICS and will include the following:

8. Manage the operational delivery of the NI Honours process.
9. Engage with senior officials, internal and external stakeholders.
10. Manage all correspondence ensuring information is handled professionally and in a timely manner.
11. Ensure records are managed and processed accordingly.
12. Support the Deputy Principal with communications; drafting correspondence; briefings; responses to Assembly Questions; drafting submissions; Finance returns; Freedom of Information requests relevant to the Head of Civil Service Office; provide advice and recommendations.
13. Lead, motivate, support and develop staff.
14. When required support other work of the Head of Civil Service office.

Essential Experience & Qualifications required:

15. Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 12 months experience of:
16. Effective leadership
17. Strong communication, negotiating and influencing skills
18. Maintain effective working relationships with senior managers
19. Excellent written and oral communication skills
20. Excellent planning and organisational skills
21. Effective decision making
22. Analysis of information

An Access NI will be required for this role:

23. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
