Our client, is currently seeking a Principal Transport Planner to join their team in Dorset on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and contributing to local transport plans and scheme concepts
Engaging in transportation planning activities for various projects
Conducting market research to stay updated with current trends in transport planning
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure project alignment and successful delivery
Participating in internal reshuffles and contributing to team restructuring efforts
Providing strategic input on transportation needs and solutions
Remaining proactive in identifying and solving transport-related challenges
Visiting project sites and meeting with stakeholders as required
Job Requirements:
Experience in transport planning within the highways sector
Strong understanding of local transport plans and scheme development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels
Proven track record in delivering transport planning projects
Proficiency in transportation planning software and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Relevant qualification in transport planning or a related discipline
Contract Details:
Full-time position with an immediate start date
12-18 month secondment
Based in Dorset with occasional travel as required
