This employee-owned cash and carry distribution centre is expanding and looking to recruit reliable and motivated Order Pickers to support their continued growth. As a major nationwide distribution hub, the site supplies a wide range of wholesale products to independent retailers and caterers, with pickers collectively processing over £1 million worth of product per week.
What Youll Do
Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
Work as part of a supportive, fast-paced warehouse team
Meet daily and weekly picking targets in a KPI-driven environment
Directly pick orders into roll cages
Use handheld scanners to locate, pick, and confirm stock
Follow stock replenishment and warehouse procedures
Training & Induction Process
Initial short walk-around of the site to assess suitability for the role
If successful, you will complete a full induction and sign-off process
Buddy System In Place
Day 1: Work alongside a trained picker
Day 2: Picking with shadowing and support
Day 3: Working independently (flexible depending on individual progress)
Performance monitored via KPIs using handheld scanners
Weekly and monthly review meetings during the probation period
Picking incentive scheme available for exceeding targets
Picking Targets
Day 1 target: picks
By week 3: 700 picks
Workwear & Site Rules
Safety boots and hi-vis required
Lockers available (candidates must bring their own lock)
