Housekeeper at Newton House Care Home
At Hamberley we believe that each resident deserves something “extra special, every day.” We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents.
What you will be doing
* Ensure the supply of clean laundry and provide housekeeping services throughout the home.
* Maintain all areas of the care home – bedrooms, communal spaces and bathrooms – so they are clean, hygienic and well‑maintained.
* Handle laundry and linen care with attention to residents’ personal belongings.
* Interact with residents, offering assistance when needed to help them feel at ease.
* Maintain housekeeping supplies and report any shortages to the manager.
* Work closely with caregivers and other staff to support the overall care plan and home operations.
About you
* Previous domestic experience in a similar care home setting.
* Flexible and reliable attitude.
* Committed to customer care and first‑class service provision.
* Basic knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations.
* Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents.
* Ability to multi‑task, work under pressure and on own initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
