Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a (0.5 WTE) Band 8a Senior Practitioner Psychologist / Specialist Psychological Therapist to join an innovative and growing Psychological Services Department within a large acute hospital Trust. The department comprises clinical psychologists, practitioner psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors working into a range of specialities including Neuropsychology, Spinal, Pain, Burns, Oncology and Palliative Care Services. We actively encourage and support supervision, CPD and service-related research. The post holder will provide input into the Medicine Specialty within the MY Psychological Services Department and will provide support to a range of patients accessing the Mid Yorkshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust across 3 hospital sites.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients with complex medical conditions (e.g. cardiology, dermatology, diabetes and endocrinology, and gastroenterology).
* Provide input into the Medicine Specialty within the MY Psychological Services Department.
* Provide support to a range of patients across the Mid Yorkshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust at three hospital sites.
* Deliver psychological treatment with strong skills and work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
* Contribute to supervision, professional support and service-related development, with opportunities for CPD and research.
