About the Role

Charnock Mortgages is a growing, independent mortgage brokerage based in WN4. We are looking for a driven and experienced Mortgage Administrator to support the business as we continue to expand. This position is office based at our office in Bryn, Wigan.

This is a varied, hands-on role within a small, ambitious business. The position is primarily focused on mortgage administration, but also includes general business support, light PA duties, and assistance with marketing and social media administration.

This role would suit someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a growing business where their contribution genuinely matters.

Key ResponsibilitiesMortgage Administration (Primary Focus)

* Packaging and progressing mortgage applications
* Liaising with lenders, solicitors, insurers and clients
* Chasing outstanding documentation and updates
* Maintaining accurate CRM records
* Supporting cases from submission through to completion

General Business & Office Support

* General office administration
* Managing and organising documentation
* Email and diary coordination
* Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business

PA Duties (Light)

* Providing administrative support to the business owner
* Helping manage priorities and workflow
* Ad-hoc administrative support as required

Marketing & Social Media Support (Administrative)

* Assisting with posting and scheduling content
* Uploading video or written content
* Supporting marketing activity from an admin perspective

(No marketing qualifications required — support role only)

About You

* Previous mortgage administration experience strongly preferred
* Good understanding of the mortgage process and lender requirements
* Highly organised and detail-focused
* Self-motivated and driven
* Comfortable working in a small business environment
* Proactive — able to spot what needs doing without being micromanaged
* Confident with CRM systems, email and general office software
