Vehicle Technician required in Salisbury. Up to £32-42,000 annual starting salary (negotiable pending experience/qualifications). 45 hour week Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings on a rota. Access to optional technical training and development including acquiring an MOT licence. Our client, a family-run independent automotive service centre situated in the Salisbury and operating since 1999, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join their business. Reporting to the Business Owners and working as part of a small and friendly workshop team, as a Vehicle Technician your main duties will include carrying out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repairs on customer's vehicles as instructed to the standards laid down by our client. You will need to ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and report to the Service Director as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance. As a Vehicle Technician, you will need to ensure that Health & Safety, as well as work quality procedures relating to the task at hand, are always adhered to. Due to the nature of our client's requirements, an IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is strongly preferred, alongside several years practical experience working as a Vehicle Technician. Applicants with no qualifications but great experience are encouraged to apply. You will need to hold a UK driving license with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Candidates with a valid MOT testing license would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential as our client is willing to offer the training to attain this. What's in it for you?
