Daily Expectations & Routine
Morning Routine:
You’ll support the student as they arrive into school, helping them:
* Settle into the environment
* Prepare for the day ahead
* Transition into lessons positively
Building a consistent and reassuring routine is key here.

During Lessons:
Your role will include:
* Supporting the student to stay engaged and focused
* Using movement and physical activity as a tool to re-engage learning
* Working closely with the other TA to provide consistent support
* Adapting tasks to suit the student’s needs
You will not be standing back, you’ll be actively involved throughout.

Physical Activity & Regulation:
A key part of this role is using sport as a positive outlet. You may:
* Take part in short physical activities to support regulation
* Use sports-based rewards and engagement strategies
* Encourage participation in PE and active sessions

Break & Lunch:
You will:
* Stay with the student
* Support positive social interaction
* Use active play to encourage engagement

End of Day:
You’ll remain on site until between 3:30pm–4:30pm, depending on the day. This time is used for:
* Debriefing with staff
* Updating notes and progress
* Planning for the next day

Before September Start
There is a strong preference for you to complete a few shifts before September so you can:
* Meet the student
* Build rapport
* Understand routines and expectations
This makes a huge difference to both you and the student.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
