A bit about our pubs In 2017 we opened the first Urban Village Pub and before lock-down had grown to 8 sites. Our offer combines all the best aspects of being a local friendly pub, at the heart of the community, whilst also offering an exceptional craft beer range, locally sourced ales, hand crafted cocktails, hand stretched pizzas and gourmet burgers, from an open kitchen. We have a great sport following, entertain our customers with interactive darts, shuffleboard and table tennis and host regular events and pull in the crowds with regular activity. A bit about us Urban Village Pub Co is an award-winning pub company. We are that great size (currently 10 pubs, and growing), where everyone knows everyone, and no one is “just a number”, yet big enough to allow for growth and develop. We are passionate about our people as it’s through you we deliver, amazing food, great beer & outstanding customer service. We work closely with our teams to ensure their input into the development of our businesses, and ensuring they are positioned within their community, as hubs for all to be proud of. A bit about the role You will be responsible for overall operations for the pub, with freedom to explore, within certain parameters, ways to develop the business further. Leading and inspiring your team, nurturing, and developing the next generation of pub superstars. Your absolute priority will be great customer service, making sure every plate of food is as perfect as every pint we pour. With great people behind you and a unique customer offer, you’ll be well equipped to deliver you financial targets too. High levels of energy, imagination, and standards will be vital to maximise this opportunity. Successful GMs will share in a generous bonus scheme and reward package with a competitive salary of £40K - £50K depending on experience. A bit about the team You’ll lead a team of incredible people, some with years of customer service experience, some fresh into the industry. Your job is to be the glue that holds the team together & supports them to be the best they can be and make our pub amazing. A bit about you A minimum of 3 years hospitality management experience working in high volume sites is essential, as is a passion for customer service and standards. To be one of us, attitude counts, we need you to want to go out & delight our customers all day every day, whilst coaching and developing your team. A self-starter who understands the responsibilities of delivering to brand standards but isn’t afraid to think independently and challenge the status quo.
