The RPG Programmer Analyst (Aurora) will report to the Application Support Manager and is primarily responsible for supporting our core ERP and Warehouse management applications in the Greene King group. You will need understanding of Infor System 21 (Aurora) and the RPG programming language to succeed in this role. Working closely with the business and the IT teams across three main locations, Bury St Edmunds, Burton and Dunbar, with additional Warehouses, the successful candidate must be able to deal with multiple systems and processes, be a clear communicator, with a very strong technical foundation in a range of application types. This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys handling multiple priorities at any given time, with the breadth of knowledge to drive technical improvements alongside the tenacity to undertake day to day support activities. Your role as RPG Programmer Analyst
1. Act as 4th Line Support for the Business.
2. Be an escalation point for our 2nd and 3rd Line Team Members.
3. Use RPG and Coding skills to aid resolution of fixes and improve/undertake development of systems.
4. Use EDI skills to help onboard and maintain the business EDI systems.
5. Manage our application portfolio to maintain our system uptime targets, ensuring systems are upgraded, patched, and maintained proactively.
6. Be responsible for delivery of incident SLA's, ensuring support issues are understood, managed, and resolved.
7. Own root cause analysis to minimize issues and improve customer experience.
8. Liaise with wider IT teams to ensure hardware solutions meet application needs.
9. Collaborate with internal teams and 3rd party suppliers to improve system performance, reliability, and usability.
10. Maintain excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and commitment.
11. Participate in Out of Hours rota.
12. Prioritize work to meet SLAs within agreed timescales.
13. Research and stay ahead of market trends.
14. Work independently with a strong interest in technology.
15. Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varied demands.
