Our client, a reputable and established commercial vehicle dealership in Southampton, Hampshire, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their dynamic team. Receiving and reviewing job cards assigned by the workshop controller
Conducting routine maintenance and diagnosing repairs on large commercial vehicles
Testing vehicles and system components using advanced diagnostic tools
Examining vehicles for damage or faults; performing necessary repairs or replacements
Relining, adjusting, and replacing brakes and other vital vehicle systems
Servicing air conditioning, electrical, heating, and cooling systems
Identifying faults, sourcing parts, and ensuring repair quality standards are met
Conducting inspections and testing to evaluate vehicle safety and performanceRequirements:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in HGV repair, Vehicle Maintenance, or a related field
Proven experience working within a commercial vehicle environment
Strong technical knowledge, with problem-solving capabilities
Proactive and adaptable team player with a 'can-do' attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
