Job Overview
We are looking for part-time staff to join our team at Gin64 Penarth. A multi award winning Gin bar. All of our staff are cross-trained on bar, barback and floor roles so bartending and cocktail experience is recommended but not essential.
Weekend availability is essential for this position. It will require 10-40 hours per week across weekdays and Friday/Saturday. The earliest start would be 12:30pm and the latest night finish is 1:00am so you must be able to get to and home from work at these times.
We are a very busy venue and have high standards but it is also a lovely, friendly team with great clientele, it is a rewarding role with plenty of opportunities to learn and progress.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Engage with guests to provide outstanding customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Upsell menu items and promote special offers to enhance the experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively.
- Excellent guest service skills, demonstrating a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and providing memorable experiences for guests.
