Commercial Director – Planned Maintenance

My client are a leading social housing contractor who are looking for a Commercial Director to lead a planned maintenance division in the South East of England.
Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Director:
* Lead and manage all commercial aspects of the division’s performance and reporting.
* Work closely with senior leadership to meet divisional budgets and profit targets.
* Ensure strict adherence to company policies, SHEQ standards, and compliance with legislative requirements.
* Drive accurate and timely commercial reporting, ensuring project success and target margin delivery.
* Support in the preparation and negotiation of contracts, valuations, and final accounts.
* Oversee procurement processes and subcontractor engagement to ensure efficiency and compliance.
* Lead and mentor a talented team, promoting development and high performance.
The Commercial Director should have:
* Previous experience of a senior commercial role within the social housing sector.
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial discipline.
* Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Excellent knowledge of legal and contractual processes within the construction industry.
* Experience in managing large-scale projects and delivering high-quality results.
