We are currently partnering with a reputable building surveying firm in Bristol, who are seeking a Senior / Associate Director Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of junior surveyors and overseeing general business management, as well as delivering existing work for a diverse client base of commercial and public sector clients.
The firm offers a mix of professional and project-based work, with a split of approximately 60% professional work and 40% project-based work. The ideal candidate will have experience in both areas and be able to demonstrate a track record of success in managing both types of work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing a team of junior surveyors and overseeing their work
2. General business management, including financial management and strategy development
3. Delivery of existing work for both professional and project-based clients
4. Building and maintaining client relationships
5. Identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion
6. Ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard, within budget and on time
Requirements:
7. Chartered Building Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years' experience
8. Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing a team of junior surveyors
9. Proven track record in business management and strategy development
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
12. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
13. Experience in both professional and project-based work
