1:1 Teaching Assistant - Part Time

Reed Education are seeking a compassionate and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged pupil with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) and additional learning needs. This role is ideal for someone with a nurturing approach, strong behaviour management, and a genuine passion for helping young learners thrive.
The Role:
* Provide daily 1:1 support to a primary school student with SEMH and additional needs
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team
* Help the pupil regulate emotions, engage in learning, and access the curriculum
* Implement strategies and personalised support plans
* Maintain a calm, encouraging, and consistent approach
* Support with both academic tasks and emotional wellbeing
About You:
* Experience supporting children with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or additional needs (school or similar setting)
* Empathetic, patient, and resilient
* Able to build strong, trusting relationships
* Confident in managing behaviour in a nurturing and positive way
* Reliable, proactive, and committed to the pupil's progress
* Available for 3 hours per day until July
